Martha Leana Hardin, 81, of Dawsonville, died July 27, 2015.

Born March 11, 1934 in Atlanta, to the late Oliver Wendall and Rennie T. Hagood, she had lived in Dawson County for more than 20 years, having moved from Midway.

For a number of years, she owned and operate Edith's Florist in Alpharetta, after which she worked several years as a floral associate for Kroger.

She was also formerly employed by the Dawson County School Transportation Department.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alpharetta.

Her sister, Anna Grace DiBrito, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Wesley and Debbie Hardin of Anderson, S.C., Wanda Hardin of Dahlonega, Sam Hardin of Suches, Cindy and Bobby Sheriff, June and John Hardy, all of Dawsonville, Chris Hardin of Alpharetta; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Aug. 1 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Sorrels officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to The Partnership for Gynecological Cancer Support, P.O. Box 499, Murrayville, GA 30564.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
