Marlene Glassman, 85, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 7, 2016.

Born Dorothy Marlene Moyer on June 11, 1931 in Logansport, Ind., to the late Edward Ray and Laura Eve Moyer, she had lived in Dawson County for more than 22 years.

Marlene was a devoted parishioner of Rock of Ages Lutheran Church in Stone Mountain and was an Al-anon sponsor for more than 35 years.

She loved to travel, spend time with family and was a stained-glass artist.

Marlene was called friend to countless others and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Herb Glassman; daughters, Lynn, Dorothy, Lisa, Laura; son, Chod; siblings, Robert, George, Barbara; grandchildren, Josh, Jason, Kyle, Melissa, Christy, Jessica, Richard, Heather, Hillary, Jamie, Amy, MaryBeth, Church and Kelly; 37 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
