Mark Douglas Collett, 73, of Cumming, died Aug. 11, 2016.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Mark was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Milton.

Mark retired from Fulton County as a crew foreman.

His parents, Dewey and Florence Collett; sister, Dot Bates; brother, Garlon Collett; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Elaine Collett, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Janice Collett; children, Alisha and the Rev. Mitch Buice of Clermont, the Rev. Terry and Ginger Collett of Cumming; grandsons, Roland Collett, Mason Buice; sister and brother-in-law, Padge and Vernie Reece of Dawsonville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Grace Collett of Dawsonville, Melvin Bates of Batesville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Aug. 14 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Milton with the Revs. Mitch Buice, Terry Collett, Lee Gaddis and Bud Sutton officiating. Interment followed in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
