Marion F. Shirley Sr., 94, of Dawsonville, died July 10, 2015.

Born Sept. 26, 1920 in Alpharetta to the late Wade Elmer and Annie Mae Shirley, he lived most of his life in Atlanta. Mr. Shirley was a long-time manager for Raymond Parks and retired from Northside Drive Liquor Store after more than 50 years of service.

A U. S. Navy veteran, he was one of the last living survivors of the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

His wife of 60 years, Mary Louise Parks Shirley; several sisters and brothers, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, M. Franklin "Frank" Jr. and Donna Shirley of Dawsonville, Dr. Timothy W. Shirley of Sun City Center, Fla.; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at Georgia National Cemetery.
