Marilyn “Tennessee” Edwards, 76, of Dawsonville, died Oct. 20, 2017. Born Aug. 26, 1941 in Johnson City, Tenn. to the late Robert and Shirley Ball, she had lived in Dawson County since 2003 having moved from Asheville, N.C. Mrs. Edwards retired as a nurse with Memorial Mission Hospital in Ashville after over 30 years of service. She was a devoted wife, mother and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Affectionately known as Tennessee, she was an avid University of Tennessee fan.
