Louise Reeves Barron, 84, of Gainesville, died June 10, 2011.

Born Jan. 12, 1927 in Lumpkin County to the late Albert and Essie Reeves, she lived a number of years in Dawson County before moving to Gainesville 40 years ago. Mrs. Barron was a homemaker and member of New Life Church.

Her husband, Richard Lee "Speck" Barron Jr.; son, Lannie Barron; and brothers, Paul Reeves and Raymond Reeves, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Sue Patterson of Gainesville, Jerry and Ruby Barron of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Chad and Ceslie Patterson of Gainesville, Phil and Tracy Patterson of Winder, Shane Barron, Casey Barron, Landry Jones, all of Dawsonville; great-grandchildren, Justin Patterson of Gainesville, Ryan Patterson, Brayden Patterson, both of Winder; sisters and brothers-in-law, Isabell Wilson of Cumming, Maggie Whitlock, Jean and Ken Ray, Betty and Jan Cooley, all of Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Mamie Reeves, James and Edna Reeves, all of Dawsonville, Richard and Betty Reeves of Gainesville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 13 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mike Owens and Windell Patterson officiating. Interment followed in the New Life Church Cemetery.
