Lisa Jones Stowers, 49, of Dawsonville, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009.

Born June 29, 1960 to the late Robert and Dot Jones, she grew up in Forsyth County before moving to Dawson County in 1985. Lisa graduated from Forsyth County High School and attended Lanier Technical College.

She was formerly employed by Alpha Metals and Tractor Supply Company. She attended Lanier Hills Baptist Church.

Her niece, Connie Lera Morris, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Joel D. Stowers of Dawsonville; son and daughter-in-law, Kyle A. and Donna Lynn Payne of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Makenzy Payne, Tristan Payne; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marlene and Calvin Holden, Kathy and Dwayne Stapler, all of Dawsonville, Louise and Tom Seawright of Hartwell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Gail Jones, Don and Teeter Jones, all of Dawsonville; father and mother-in-law, Doug and Ethell Stowers of Hiawassee; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ruel Martin and Sam Morris officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to offset final expenses.
