Linda "Wrink" Grant, 62, of Dawsonville, died July 28, 2011.

Born April 29, 1949 to the late Charles Alton and Lillian Grant, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.

Linda was a graduate of Dawson County High School and attended North Georgia College and the University of Georgia, earning a degree in social work.

She was formerly employed by the Dawson County School System and served on the Dawsonville City Council and as Mayor Pro Tem.

She enjoyed riding her Harley Davidson, Trikes and working with crafts.

She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and the Abate and Hog Club.

Survivors include her son, Dakota Grant of Dawsonville; niece and nephew, Niki and Corey Eubanks; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. July 31 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
