Linda Pruitt Chambers, 86, of Cumming, died May 9, 2015.

Linda was a wonderful, loving, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She especially loved children and always wanted to make sure that all children who crossed her path had their needs taken care of. She loved the Lord and was a lifelong member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.

Linda retired from Allstate Insurance.

Her husband of 48 years, Larry J. Chambers; mother and father, Alfred and Zonia Pruitt; sister, Janet Singletary; brother, Roy Pruitt; brothers-in-law, Gerald Harbin, Jerry Chambers, Billy Smith and Bob Neyendorf; and sister-in-law, Diane Sears, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Larry and Laura Chambers of Jasper; Edward Chambers of Cumming; grandchildren, Matthew and Kassy Chambers, Hayden Love, Kaitlyn Love, all of Jasper, Kristen and Casey White of Cumming; sisters, Jackie Curtis Mobley of Columbia, S.C., Retha and Richard Garner of Covington, Clara Harbin of Cumming, Martha and Charles Mobley of Ball Ground; brothers, Loy and Shirley Pruitt, Tony and Cyndi Pruitt, all of Cumming, Michael Pruitt of Gainesville; brother-in-law, Henry Singletary of Norcross; aunt, Jessie Lee Milford of Cumming; sisters-in-law, Jan Smith of Cumming, Edith and Bill Bullock, Sue Neyendorf, all of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; special niece, Penny Dutton; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. May 12 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dusty Holtzclaw and Vernie Worley officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
