Linda Davis Long, 67, of Dawsonville, died June 13, 2011.

Born Sept. 4, 1943 in Hueytown, Ala. to the late Bernard K. "Konk" and Helen Davis, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 15 years, having moved from Doraville.

Mrs. Long retired as a Customer Service Representative with Sawnee EMC after 15 years of service.

She was of the Baptist faith and possessed a great love for gardening and her flowers.

Her brother, Billy Davis, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Laddie H. Long of Dawsonville; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Kevin Diver of Dawsonville; stepson and daughter-in-law, Michael and Caron Long of Jefferson; devoted Maltese, Little Buddy; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. June 18 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Blackstock officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made in Linda's memory to the charity or church of your choice.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
