Lester Emory Dashner Jr., 65, of Dawsonville, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009.

  

Mr. Dashner was a member of War Hill Christian Fellowship Church and was a member of the American Legion.

  

He served eight years in the U.S. Navy with his tours including Cuban Missile Crisis and the Vietnam War.

  

He was a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.

  

He loved his family and friends, life and had a passion for music, playing drums.

  

His parents, Lester and Mary Dashner, preceded him in death.

  

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Judy Dashner of Dawsonville; children, Jennifer and Robbie Ringo of Texas, Paul and Deborah Tuggle of Tallapoosa, Jonathon Dashner of Cumming; Matthew and Beth Dashner of Acworth; six grandchildren; one brother; one sister; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were Sunday, Jan. 11 at 3 p.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Rodney Allen and Don Allen officiating.

  

Interment followed in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton on Jan. 12.

  

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
