Leonard Westray, 91, of Cumming, died Sept. 17, 2011.

He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

Leonard was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II.

His wife, Mildred Whitmire Westray; parents, Elmer and Julian Westray; sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Ed Bennett; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Burma Westray; son-in-law, Keith Wolfe, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Judy Westray of Cumming; daughters and son-in-law, Betty Westray Wolfe of Dacula, Janice Westray and Charles Walls of Cumming; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Hamby, Nell Welch, both of Cumming; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Ernestine Bennett of Gainesville, Lou and Jim Merritt of Cleveland; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, L.D. "Whit" and Ann Whitmire of Gainesville; special friends, Melissa and Johnny Hannah; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 20 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Danny Bennett and Vernie Worley officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
