Lemma W. Swafford, 87, of Dawsonville, died April 26, 2015.

Born May 15, 1927 in Dawson County, to the late Cooney and Bernice Wright, she lived in Smyrna 42 years before returning to Dawson County.

Lemma retired from Montag and Mead Paper Company after 40 years of service.

She was a member of Juno Baptist Church.

Her daughter, Brenda Diane Swafford; and a sister, Novella Wright, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Clain Swafford; special friends and caregivers, Tony and Karen Weaver; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. April 28 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tommy Weldy, Dennis Bottoms, Tim Biddy and Gerral Richards officiating. Interment followed in the Juno Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
