Lamar “David” Williams

Lamar “David” Williams, 77, of Dawsonville, died Sept. 18, 2017.

He grew up in Sandy Springs and graduated from North Fulton High School in 1957 and received a BBA degree from the University of Georgia in 1961.

He moved to Dawson County in 2000 after retiring from Remax in North Atlanta. He enjoyed attending Georgia Bulldogs football games.

David never met a stranger and remembered everyone he ever met. He had a sense of humor and loved to tell jokes. He loved living on Lake Lanier and boating with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lois Garrett Williams; sons and daughters-in-law, Lamar David “Marty” Williams Jr. and Mia, Scott Garrett Williams and Amy; grandchildren, Kennedy, Kaden, Kolby, Charlotte, Perry, Elizabeth and Caroline, all of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law Louise Chapin and Lloyd of St. Petersburg, Fla.; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services were held at Sandy Springs Chapel with burial Sept. 22 at Arlington Memorial Park.

Sandy Springs Chapel in Atlanta was in charge of the arrangements.
