Kimberly Allyson Kelly, 37, of Cumming, and beloved daughter of Jeannie Edwards, died Jan. 12, 2018.
Kim attended West Georgia University where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She later attended the University of Georgia where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in speech communications and later received her post bachelor’s in education. Kim was a member of First Christian Church of Cumming.
Her father, Douglas E. Kelly; grandfather, Robert Burke Bower; paternal grandparents, Alvis Daniel Kelly and Naomi Garrett Kelly, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her parents, Jeannie and Michael Edwards of Cumming; siblings, Richard (Brooke) Edwards of Gainesville, Michelle (Kenneth) Childs of Gainesville; nieces and nephews, Ella and Emmy Edwards, Fincher Childs; grandmother, Annie D. Bower of Quitman; aunts and uncles, Marisa (Tim) Crosby, Mark (Janet) DeVane and many other loving relatives, friends and beloved pet and constant companion, Cooper.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Jan. 15 at Cumming Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry McCormick officiating. The family received friends from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 15 at the funeral home.
