Kenneth Merlin Day, 62, of Cumming, died Aug. 17, 2016.

He was a loving husband, father and poppa, not to mention a dear friend to many.

Kenneth graduated from Forsyth Central High School, served in the United States Army as a Green Beret and Special Forces.

Kenneth had his own business B&D Tire Company and drove for National Oil Company.

He was a devoted Mason at Lafayette Lodge No. 44 and a Shriner for many years.

His mother, Loretta Ruth "Colette" Quinn, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Farmer Day; son, Jeremy and Nikki Day; daughter, Jennifer Leigh Day; stepson, Tony and Kim Farmer; five grandchildren, Kayla and Brantley Day, Anna Pratt, Meagan and Nikki Farmer; his father, Junior and Ann Day; sisters, Brenda and Veston Ledbetter, Terry Springsteen and Lynn Lashley, Nona Heizen and David Rogers, Angie and Barry Jarman; various other relatives also survive.

No services are scheduled.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
