Junior Higgins, 83, of Dawsonville, died Oct.3, 2017.

Born July 25, 1934 in Forsyth County to the late Roscoe and Beulah Higgins, he lived most of his life in Dawson County. 

His sister, Emma Higgins; and brothers, Cecil Higgins, Lee Higgins, Clifford Higgins, R. H. Higgins and E. Eugene Higgins preceded him in death.

Survivors include his nephew and niece, Wayne and Kathy Higgins of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. Oct. 5 at Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Rudy Tribble officiating.

The family received friends beginning at 2 p.m. Oct. 5 at the funeral home.

Bearden Funeral Home in Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
