Junior Gee

Junior Gee, 85, of Dawsonville, died Jan. 15, 2011.

 

Born June 24, 1925 to the late Tom and Pearl Gee, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. In the 1950s, Mr. Gee was employed by G.M.C. Feed Mills, after which he owned and operated Gee's Garage and Tire Shop.

 

He was a former employee of the Dawson County Road Department and until his death, he and his wife operated poultry farms.

 

Junior was of the Baptist faith.

 

His son, Dennis Wayne Gee, five sisters and five brothers, preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Edith Pinion Gee of Dawsonville; children, Sandra and Royce Cain, Judy and Larry Sheffield, Jimmy and Paulette Gee, David and Kathy Gee, Phyllis and Bradley Mooney, all of Dawsonville; brothers, Eugene "Fig" Gee, Albert Gee, both of Dawsonville; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 18 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Rodney Pilcher and Tom Stradley officiating. Interment followed in the Dawsonville City Cemetery.

 

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
