Joseph Steven Ward, 59, of Jasper, died Nov. 20, 2011.

Born March 31, 1952, in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Joseph Scott Ward and Margaret Breedlove Ward.

Mr. Ward had previously worked as a brick mason.

Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Christy Buice, Deanne and Tommy Hitchcock, all of Dawsonville, Amanda Ward of Cumming; sisters, Kay Ward of Hampton, Melissa Carden of Cleveland, Tenn.; brothers, David Ward of Dublin, Wendall Breedlove of Woodstock, Ricky Breedlove of Atlanta; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; various other relatives also survive.

Visitation was held Nov. 22 at the Roper Funeral Home in Jasper. At Mr. Ward's request, following visitation, the body was cremated.

Roper Funeral Home and Crematory of Jasper was in charge of the arrangements.
