Johnny P. Moon Sr., of Hillsdale, Wyo., died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009.

  

Mr. Moon was born Oct. 17, 1944 in Dahlonega.

  

Johnny graduated from Dawsonville High School in 1965.

  

He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant in 1986 working as a flight line worker.

  

Mr. Moon also worked for civil service as a peacekeeper missile system worker, and was a member of the American Legion Post 6, Disabled American Veterans and Moose Lodge.

  

His two wives, Barbara Jean Moon and Susie Moon; son, Johnny P. Moon Jr.; and, father, John T. Moon, preceded him in death.

  

Survivors include his daughter, Ann Marie Moon of Cheyenne; mother, Annie S. Moon of Dawsonville; four brothers, Harvey Moon of Augusta, Frank and Jimmy Moon, both of Dawsonville, David Moon of Waycross; two sisters, Dixie LeMoon and Nancy Moon Gilbert, both of Dawsonville; stepchildren and stepgrandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

  

Memorial services were held Nov. 4 at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes in Cheyenne, Wyo.

  

Local services will be held early next year.
