John Barnett, 67, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 7, 2018.
He was a member of Grace Chapel Church of Christ in Cumming. John loved God and serving people in any way he could. He was an avid antique collector and restorer of old furniture.
His father, Johnnie Paul Barnett; sister, Linda Skipworth; and brother, Mickey Barnett, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Bonnie Barnett of Dawsonville; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Nancy Barnett of Rapidan, Va., Justin and Lynn Barnett of Dawsonville, Kenyon and Melissa Barnett of High Point, N.C.; mother, Ruth Barnett of Dawsonville; sisters, Sherry Garner of Florence, Ala., Charlene McDaniels of Braselton; grandchildren, George, Amelia, Chloe, Cooper, Jaxen, Georgia, Will, Ashlyn, and Elle; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life was held at 2 p.m. Aug. 11 at Grace Chapel in Cumming. Rodney Plunket, Callie Plunket-Brewton and Paul Huyghebaert officiated.
The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the service time Saturday.
