John B. Buddy Rowell

John B. "Buddy" Rowell, died June 18, 2013.

Born Aug. 18, 1930 to the late John and Martha Rowell, he had lived most of his life in Dawson County. Mr. Rowell was a retired poultry farmer and also worked at Ingram Trucking and for Dawson County.

His daughters, Gayle Beebe, Janice Harben; grandchildren, Jason Harben, Danielle Harben; and five sisters, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Rowell of Dawsonville, Sherri and Bob Kelly of Dacula, Valerie and Todd Binning of Cumming, Vanessa and Jim Williams of Lebanon, Tenn.; son, Brian Chastain of Dawsonville; stepson and daughter-in-law, Michael and June Bozeman of Gainesville; grandchildren, Erin Kelly, Avery Binning, Elijah Williams, McKenzie Williams, Jenaline Harben, Brittany Hughes, Travis Chastain; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 21 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Hubert Tinsley and Tom Stradley officiating. Interment followed in the Amicalola Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
