Joel Wayne Tedder, 63, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 9, 2015.

Born April 10, 1952, in Levan, Utah to the late William Otis and Helen Margaret Tedder, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 10 years, having moved from Lawrenceville.

Wayne was employed with IBM for the past 20 plus years, and was formerly employed with Equifax.

Mr. Tedder graduated from South Gwinnett High School in 1970 and possessed a love for coaching.

He coached all of the boys for more than 20 years.

He loved to travel, fish and most importantly spend time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Lea Tedder; sons, Joshua William Tedder, Wesley Wyatt Tedder, Nicholas Joel Tedder, Aaron Wayne Tedder; stepsons, Matthew Maurice Mitchell and Stephen Alan Swain; three grandchildren, Josiah William Tedder, Asher Allen Tedder and Sofia Norah Swain; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Aug. 18 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Jim Gaines officiating.

Following the funeral service, a private interment will be held at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford.

Memorial contributions were requested made in Wayne's honor to Feed the Children.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
