Joel "Buddy" Burnett, 79, of Cumming, died March 24, 2015.

He was a member of Free Home Community Church.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Burnett of Cumming; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky Burnett, Grover Smith, Eddie and Tammy Smith, all of Cumming, James and Jennifer Burnett of Dawsonville; daughter, Christie Burnett of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, H.B. and Virginia Burnett of Dahlonega; sister, Edith Chester of Lumpkin County; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 26 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Franklin Jones and Pastor Danny May officiating. Interment followed at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
