Joe Quarles, 72, of Dawsonville, died Oct. 13, 2018. Born May 6, 1946 and raised in Ellijay, Mr. Quarles had been a resident of Dawson County for most of his life. His parents, Curtis and Helen Quarles; brother, James Quarles; and sister, Gloria Chester, preceded him in death. Survivors include his son, J.L. Quarles of Oakwood; stepsons, Mike Eddings, Barry and Lisa Miller, all of Clarkesville; brothers and sister-in-law, Forrest Quarles, W.C. and Vickie Quarles, all of Dawsonville; a number of nieces and nephews; various other relatives also survive.
