Joan Wilkinson Winters died Jan. 2, 2011.

Her father, brother and sister, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Martinn Winters of Dawsonville; mother-in-law, Gladys Winters and her husband Dick Miller of Dawsonville; granddaughter, Kaya Bobo of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

A memorial service was held on Jan. 15 in Richmond, Va. where her family resides.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
