Jimmy Lamar Thompson, 72, of Holly Springs, died Jan. 17, 2012.

He was a member of Longstreet Baptist Church.

His parents, the Rev. Paul and Grace Thompson, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, N. Willene Martin Thompson of Holly Springs; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Brip Thompson of Alpharetta, Sammy Thompson of Canton, Hal and Sherry Thompson of Holly Springs; grandchildren, Casey and Stephanie Thompson Norris, Mindy Thompson, Brody Thompson; great-grandson, Levi Grayson Norris; brother and sister-in-law, David and Linda Thompson of McDonough; sisters, Jeanette Thompson Vaughters of Dawsonville, Pam Thompson of Alpharetta; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 20 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Jackie Martin, Gerral Richards, Terry Caylor, Michael Cantrell and Allen Dixon officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
