Jewell Ray, 88, of Dawsonville, died March 29, 2017.
She was born on May 29, 1928 in Atlanta to the late Ernest and Bessie White.
Jewell married Jack Ray in 1946. The couple lived in Mableton, where they owned and managed rental properties.
Jewell enjoyed camping, boating, traveling and cooking.
She was a fun-loving person that enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends.
Bobby Ray, Jack Ray; siblings, Sonny White, Hazel Langley and Betty Wood, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Nancy and Rory Cunningham of Dawsonville, Randy and Marci Ray of Newnan; grandchildren, Shannon O'Sullivan, Zach Ray, Brittany Koch, all of Pennsylvania, Brandon Cunningham of Atlanta, Chad Cunningham of Tennessee, Gage Ray of Wyoming, Baelynn and Payton Ray of Newnan; seven great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.
Memorial services will be held at April 8, 2017 at the Oak Forest Clubhouse, 66 Oak Forest Dr., Dawsonville, GA 30534. The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. and the service will follow immediately afterwards.
