Jerry Lee Blalock, 73, of Dawsonville, died March 24, 2017.

He was a member of North Roswell Baptist Church. He loved to read his Bible and preach God's word.
His parents; brother, Larry Blalock; daughter, Darlene Carter; and grandson, Joey Sweatman, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Betty Blalock of Dawsonville; children, Randy and Becky Cater of Alpharetta, Cleveland and Amy Carter of Dawsonville, Tina and Charlie Thornton of Thomson, Rita and Dwight Nelson, Christy Johnson, all of Cumming, Angie and Randy Lynn of Homer; brothers, Normand and Kathey Blalock, Walter and Janice Blalock, all of Dawsonville; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. March 26 in the McDonald and Son Chapel. Interment followed at Clear Springs Baptist Church in Johns Creek.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
