Jerry Burruss of Cumming, died July 17, 2011.
Burruss was a proud member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He loved his church and church family.
His parents, Hoyt and Pawline Burruss, preceded him in death.
Jerry was proud to say that he lived in Silver City all his life. Jerry and Debbie enjoyed their worldwide traveling, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather (Pop) and a great friend to all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Debbie Mathis Burruss; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sonji Burruss; grandson, Preston Burruss; aunts, Bonnie McClure, Emily McClure and Mary Helen Lock; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and David Waldrip, Joan Puls and Paula and Don Roberson; niece and nephews, Susie and Paul Shadburn, Tyler and Trent Sexton and Michael and Jennifer Waldrip; special and dear friends, Harley and Jean Bennett; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Scott Sorrells, Paul Shadburn and Ruel Martin officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at Ingram Funeral Home.
