Jerry Ailene Myers, 75, of Cumming, died Feb. 28, 2016.
Jerry was born in Ellijay, in the summer of 1940, to the late Cicero and Dorothy Martin.
She was an amazing wife, loving mother, sweet grandmother and a loyal friend.
She was a hairstylist and owner and operator of her own salon called Jerry's Coiffeurs in Ellenwood. Jerry was a caregiver to many little ladies and will be dearly missed by many in her family and community.
In addition to her parents, her brothers, Joe and Javin Martin; sister, Julie Cassell; and stepfather, Marcus Edwards, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Bobby M. Myers of Cumming; children, Melvin and Kim Myers of Covington, Clete Myers of Dawsonville, Steve and Peggy Sweatman of Hogansville, Matt and Shellie Myers of Cumming, Bobby and Lisa Myers of Flowery Branch, Tamara Myers of Dawsonville, Dana and Jamie Corr of Ft. Myers, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Gloria Martin of Social Circle, Jack and Wendy Martin of Concord, John A. Martin of Fairburn; sisters and brother-in-law, Janie Grant of Fairburn, Jeannie and Jimmy Tallant of Blairsville, Janet Mongan of Florida; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 2 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Craig Richards officiating. Entombment followed at Sawnee View Mausoleum.
Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
