Jeanette Nollenberger, 83, of Dawsonville, died Feb. 22, 2017.

Born Dec. 5, 1933, to the late Aldo and Etta Jeffers, she had been a resident of Dawsonville for the past eight years, coming from Flowery Branch.

A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, Jeanette was a devout Christian and wonderful cook, who enjoyed spending time, and especially holidays, with her family.

Her brother, Jeff Jeffers, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Candee and Tommy Matera, Kimberly and Robert Thompson, all of Dawsonville, William "Bill" Nollenberger of Flowery Branch; sister, Wanda Steele of Gallipolis, Ohio; grandchildren, Tiffany Fletcher, Taylor Thompson, Cassandra "Cassy" Nollenberger, William "Will" Nollenberger; great-grandchildren, Aleigha Shifflett, Nathaniel Shifflett, Mikayla Nollenberger; various other relatives also survive.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Feb. 25 at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
