J.B. Evans, 87, of Cumming, died Feb. 8, 2011.

 

He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church.

 

His parents, William Henry and Ella Free Evans; brother, Manuel Evans; sister, Ruthie Cranford; grandson, Jas Henderson, preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Nellie Cranford Evans of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Evans Henderson and Jim Henderson of Ball Ground; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Lisa Evans of Cumming; grandchildren, Scott and Andy Henderson of Sandy Springs, Blake and Kayla Evans of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Kate Evans of Cumming; sisters and brothers-in-law, Daisy Evans, Ruby and Melvin Nichols, Thelma Nichols, all of Cumming; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, the Rev. Samuel Cranford, R.V. Cranford, Maggie Cranford, Susie Moore, all of Dawsonville, Robert and Mary Free of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Feb. 10 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Harold Evans, Brandon Benefield and Shannon Westbrook officiating. Interment followed at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
