James William Brooks, 63, a native and lifelong resident of Forsyth County, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008.

  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Crafton Kemp and Mary Evelyn Brooks and brother, Marvin Brooks.

  

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Brooks; daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie and Shane Wehunt, Susan and Nathan Waters, all of Cumming; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Cecil Bennett of Cumming, Joanne and Cecil Ogden of Milledgeville; brothers, Marcus Brooks and Crafton K. Brooks, Jr., both of Cumming; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, James E. Tate, Jr. and Brenda of Marietta, Janis Synnes of Oxnard, Calif.; former sisters-in-law, Betty Brooks of Cumming, Emma Lou Brooks of Gainesville; three grandchildren, Peyton Wehunt, Sadie and Sari Waters, all of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig Richard officiating.

  

Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

  

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
