James "Terry" Ragan, 70, of Dawsonville, died Sept. 14, 2018.
He was a born to the late James "Red" and Ruth Ragan. Terry resided in Dawsonville for the past 18 years and was an avid NASCAR fan and was very involved with the Dawsonville Moonshine Festival.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
His brother-in-law, Doug Farmer, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his loving wife, Wanda Ragan of Dawsonville; daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Donald "Duke" Porter of Dawsonville, Kristy and Matthew Anderson of Dallas, Ga., Wendy and Bryan Voiles of Tunnel Hill; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Lindsey Reed of Hixon, Tenn.; grandchildren, Devin, T.J., Chathan, Maddox, Corbin, Danille, Hunter, Spencer, Morgan, Fletcher, Owen; great-grandchild, Henley; sister, Linda Farmer of Blairsville; nephew, Alan and Tonya Hawk of Blairsville; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Sept. 18 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Couch and Joel Gibbs officiating. Interment followed the funeral at 3 p.m. in Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton.
The family received friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 17 at the funeral home.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
