James Richard Chastain, 91, of Cumming, died Nov. 7, 2010.

 

James was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Dawsonville for 80 years.

 

Mr. Chastain loved camp meeting and attended camp meeting almost every year.

 

His loving wife of 69 years, Pearl Florence Chastain; and son, Ray Chastain, preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Ed Gabriel of Oakwood, Wanda and Walter Elliott of Gainesville, Jamie and James Thompson of Cumming; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Nov. 9 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Dawsonville with the Revs. Harold Evans and James Thompson officiating.

 

Interment followed at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Bethel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 986 Lumpkin Campground Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

 

Ingram Funeral home & Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
