James Marvin Tatum

James Marvin Tatum, 68, of Waleska, formerly of Alpharetta, died March 22, 2010.

  

Mr. Tatum was born in Dawsonville in 1941.

  

He was a master plumber, a member of Local 72 Plumbers & Steamfitters, a member of the Waleska Lodge #57 F&AM, and a member of Waleska First Baptist Church.

  

His parents, John Taft Tatum and Monnie Dilbeck Tatum; and a brother, John Dewey Tatum, preceded him in death.

  

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Margaret Pruitt Tatum of Waleska; daughter, Susan Tatum Mortimer and her husband, Ted, of Waleska; son, Timothy James Tatum of Gainesville; sister, Carolyn Nash of Winder; grandchildren, Tatum Danielle Mortimer and Torre Lane Mortimer, both of Waleska; mother-in-law, Dora Pruitt of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 in the chapel of Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory. Dr. Herman Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.

  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Waleska First Baptist Church Building Fund, 10657 Fincher Road, Waleska, GA 30183.
