James L. Jim Caporal

James L. "Jim" Caporal, 69, of Dawsonville, died March 8, 2017.

Born May 24, 1947 to the late Anthony and Helen Caporal, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 33 years, having moved from Pittsburgh, Pa.

Jim was a retired residential contractor and was of the Catholic faith.

A loving father and grandfather, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Victoria J. "Vicki" Caporal.

Survivors include his children, Anthony Richard and Edna Caporal of Jacksonville, Fla., Colleen Caporal of Johns Creek, Jimmy and Jessica Caporal of Dawsonville; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; sisters, Marian and Jane; and a brother, Richard; various other relatives also survive.

The family is planning private memorial services.
