James "Jim" R. Brown, 78, died Oct. 24, 2016.

A beloved husband, dad and papa, Jim graduated from Pepperdine University with a mechanical engineering degree.

He served nine years in the United States Navy.

Jim was president of Georgia Association Plant Administrators and was retired from Southern Poly Tech.

Jim went by many names, husband, dad, uncle bobo, but loved papa the most.

Survivors include his wife, Irma Ree Beggs-Brown; daughters, Sandra Brown, Jamie and Jason Gray; sons, Greg Yarbrough, Freddy and Danielle Yarbrough, Rodney and Nicole Pirkle; grandchildren, Gabriel, Skylar, Jason Jr., Hayden, Blake, Tyler, Kyle, Kerry, Shannon, Jordan, Savannah, Miranda, Alyssa; great-grandson Uriah; fur babies, Rosie, Ace and Princess; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Oct. 27 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Barry Crocker officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 26 and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Oct. 27 at the funeral home.
