James Edmond "Doodle" Walls, 72, of Cumming, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009.

He was the son of the late C.C. and Effie Corn Walls. His two brothers, Glyndon Walls and Luke Walls preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Betty Smith Walls of Cumming; son, Jay Edmond (Jennifer) Walls of Dawsonville; daughter, Jana Walls (John "Cornbread") Anderson of Cumming; three grandsons, Poley and Isaac Anderson and Owen Walls; granddaughter, Olivia Walls; two sisters, Pat Miller of Cumming, Evelyn Pylant of Marietta; four brothers, Grady Walls of Gainesville, Rupert, Harley and Charles Walls of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Randy Smith, Stephen Davis and Tim Biddy officiating.

Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
