James Carter, 75, of Dawsonville, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009.

Born Feb. 27, 1934 in Fulton County, he lived in Dawson County for the past three years, having moved from Stone Mountain.

Mr. Carter retired from the remodeling business and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Jeannette Carter of Dawsonville; children, John Carter of Cumming, Janice Carter of Dawsonville, Linda Lallerstedt of Jackson Hole, Wyo.; brothers, Don Carter of Jackson, Ga., Rufus Nye of Kansas; sisters, June Thomure of Tennessee, Nina Dalton of Jackson, Ga., Randi Pierro of Delaware; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to offset final expenses.
