James Bolt "JB" Day, 80, of Easley, S.C., died May 5, 2014.

Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Oron Radford and Ella Bagwell Day, Mr. Day was owner of JB Day Concrete Finishing Company of Easley and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, five brothers, Ivey, ZY, Maurice, Calvin and Andy Day; two sisters, Margaret Gossett and Rena Mae Smith; and a daughter-in-law, Jackie Townsend Day, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Willavene Wilson Day of Easley, S.C.; sons, Radford Day and Rickey Day, both of Easley, S.C.; three daughters, Janice Day, April and Sam Lane, all of Easley, S.C., Cheryl and Benjamin Salley of Irmo, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Melissa Klein, Chad Crooks, Scott Crooks, Jack Day, Rachel Day, Jaclyn Lane, Bradwell Lane, Connor Salley; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. May 8 in the chapel of the Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial followed in Day Family Cemetery.

Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown of Easley, S.C. was in charge of the arrangements.
