Jacky Evans, 63, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 23, 2016.

Born April 7, 1953 in Cobb County to the late Jack and Barbara Evans, he had lived in Dawson County for more than 30 years.

Mr. Evans worked most of his life as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver.

He was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and four wheeling.

His brother, John Evans, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Evans of Dawsonville; children, Roger Garrett, Kelly Evans and Crystal Pulley, Tracie Evans, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Harmony, Joshua, Corbin, Kelsey; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Tammy Evans of Hickory Flats; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Tiny Mitchell of Woodstock, Vicky and Allen Duran of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Nov. 27 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell with the Revs. Mark Flowers and Lamar Day officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
