Jackie Williams, 54, of Dawsonville died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009.

Born Oct. 6, 1954 in Forsyth County to the late James E. "Elt" and Thelma Williams, Mr. Williams lived most of his life in Forsyth County and had recently moved to Dawson County.

He was employed at Sawnee EMC for 22 years, was an avid outdoorsman and NASCAR fan.

He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by a son, Dillon Elton Williams.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Pamela Waters Williams of Dawsonville; children, Candace Williams and R.J. Boling and Andrew Waters, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Ainsley Williams and Nicholas Boling; sister and brother-in-law, Jenny and Larry Cantrell of Gainesville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 11 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Jason Hamby, Danny Orr and Danny Bennett officiating.

Interment followed in Sawnee View Gardens.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
