Jackie Paul Martin, 53, of Mount Croghan, S.C., died Dec. 3, 2008.

Mr. Martin was a 1974 graduate of Dawson County High School and was employed as a commercial truck driver.

He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Ruby, S.C. and was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Irene Martin.

Survivors include his daughter, Jackie J. Martin of Ruby, S.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Judy Mills of Hull; sisters and brother-in-law, Jane and Brad Bruce of Cumming, Jean Walden of Dahlonega; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Feb. 7, 2009 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cumming with the Rev. Donnie Nix officiating.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
