Jackie Nix, 70, of Cumming, died Dec. 21, 2010. She was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County and a member of Roanoke Baptist Church.

 

Her husband of 45 years, Winford Nix; parents, Marvin and Estelle Barrett; grandson, Matthew Gravitt; and sister, MaryJean Holbrook, preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include her children, Elaine and Tim Gravitt, Kevin and Katie Nix, all of Cumming, Rita and Harold Hansard of Dawsonville, Vicki and Jack Morris of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Adam Gravitt, Amy Adams, Alyssa Tyler, Josh Allen, Caleb and Joseph Nix, Trampas and Levi Hansard; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Zachary Tyler; three sisters, Joann Daniel, Sandra Daniel and Linda Tallant; various other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 24 at Roanoke Baptist Church with the Revs. Ruel Martin, Clark Watson and Ronnie Brown officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

 

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
