Jack Red Young

Jack "Red" Young, 60, of Dawsonville, died May 25, 2013.

Born Aug. 21, 1952, to the late Raleigh and Eula Young, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.

Mr. Young was a commercial truck driver and formerly worked as a drywall contractor. Red was a loving husband and father and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Young of Dawsonville; daughter, Becky Young of Dawsonville; son, Bobby Young of Bainbridge; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Jim Markham of Braselton; brothers and sister-in-law, Larry and Joni Young of Canton, Jerry Young of Dawsonville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Martha and Mike Wilson; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. May 28 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Hamby officiating. Interment followed in the Dawsonville City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to help offset final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
