Ivan Lee Martin, 82, of Cumming, died Nov. 20, 2013.

He was a licensed Baptist minister for 52 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

His parents, James Ewell and Margie McConnell Martin; sister and brother-in-law, Florine and Walton Chadwick; granddaughter, Chay White; brother-in-law, Sid Cowan, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Jerlene Padgett Martin; seven children, Gary I. Martin and Sarah Heard, Deborah and James Bearden, the Rev. Richard and Joan Martin, the Rev. Keith and Lisha Martin, Denease and Barry Yearwood, Jeff and Helen Martin, Danette and Shane White; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Imogene Bowers, Betty Johnson and Lynn Bottoms, Hoyt and Gwen Padgett, Mary Cowan, Patricia and Brent Chamlee, Danny and Kathy Padgett; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Nov. 23 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Terry Cowart and Clyde Boling officiating. Interment followed in the Ophir Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made in Ivan's memory to the Sydney Strong account, Citizens Bank of Forsyth County, P.O. Box 2820, Cumming, GA 30028 or Embracing Hospice, 8013 Majors Road, Cumming, GA 30041.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
