Ina Summerour, 79, of Dawsonville, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008.


Born in Dawson County, she lived all her life in Dawson and Hall counties. She was a homemaker, an avid political activist and was a member of the Church of Christ in Gainesville.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ellen Sheriff and several sisters and brothers.


Survivors include her children, Rhonda Burma Bridges, Dana Summerour, both of Dawsonville, Felecia and Cecil Padgett of Gainesville; grandchildren, Angel Satterfield, David Bridges, Lucas Satterfield, Johnathan Satterfield; great-grandchildren, Lilly Satterfield, Hayden Satterfield; extended grandchildren, Kim Hollis and Kevin Bridges; various other relatives also survive.


Funeral services were Thursday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Thomas officiating.


Interment followed in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.


Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
