Howard Young, 72, of Martin, Ga., died July 11, 2012.
Born Aug. 11, 1939 in Dawson County to the late Broughton and Edna Tinsley Young, he had lived in Martin for the past six years having moved from Gwinnett County.
Mr. Young was a retired commercial construction supervisor. His passions in life included gardening, fishing, fast cars and western movies.
His aunt, Frances Mulkey, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Jane Young of Martin; children, Ricky and Sandee Cosper of Chattahoochee Hills, Tanya Honeycutt of Los Angeles, Calif., Keith and Chelley Young of Watkinsville; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Lawson, Shirley and Buddy Lee, both of Dawsonville; brothers and sister-in-law, Randall and Torina Young of Jasper, Charles Young, David Young, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Michael Cosper, Kevin Cosper, Montana Honeycutt, Maxwell Young, Taylor Young; great-grandson, Colton Honeycutt; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 12:30 p.m. July 14 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hugh Fields officiating. Interment followed in the Tinsley Chapel Cemetery
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
